We were looking for a place like this. I’m puertorrican born & raised, my husband is Dominican born & raised too. So we had low expectations. (Finding traditional/good food here, it’s been hard) It’s a really nice place. It’s really small, but it’s a great place. Our server was nice, she took a long time to took our order but she was really nice and did a great job. The food was EXCELLENT!! We order a bunch of different stuff from the menu, so we could try… NOT EVEN ONE ITEM disappointed. (Eat) The drinks are fair, “morir soñando” didn’t taste traditional at all, some other drinks were a little bitter (need it sweetness) but It was fair. Other than that, GREAT FOOD! We loved it and are definitely coming back. If you’re going on a group (5 or more) definitely call or make a reservation.

My husband and I are trying to go to more local places and try new things in the area! We’ve lived in Broadview Heights now for around 5 years and always pass this place on the way to our gym. We finally decided to give it a try for a Friday night date night. It blew our minds! We dined in. The sweet boy who was the hostess took us to our seat and made sure we had plenty of napkins and cutlery. Our server (didn’t catch her name) was extremely attentive. My husband and I have never had Dominican or Puerto Rican food, so we had some questions. She was so helpful and very suggestive! He got the sangria and really liked it. We ordered the Dominican Flag appetizer. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The longaniza sausage was our favorite. For entrees, he ordered the Dominican Chicken and I got the Mofongo with Roasted Pork. We ended with the churros! Everything was so delicious and you can tell they cook with love and don’t hide behind a bunch of butter and oil. We will definitely be back and this will be one of our new favorite spots.

Simply delicious. Everything was absolutely amazing. We ordered the yuca balls which were crispy and tender inside. We also got the chicken and the pork Empanadas, both were super juicy and flavourful with a airy and crispy dough. We then finished our meal with the Volcano Carabeño Trifongo which had garlic shrimp, red shrimp, crispy calamari and steak. Again, all the protein was super tender and flavourful. The portion size were also really big, we shared everything and had leftovers. We will definitely be back.

The service was top notch and so was the food! I love how this is a family owned business. The owner and her sister take so much pride in what they do and it shows. I felt so welcome there. They even played happy birthday and brought out a treat for my friend’s birthday. And every. thing. was. delicious. From the Dominican Flag and Loaded Yuca Ball appetizers to the beef empanada, the guava egg rolls to the mofongo with shrimp and garlic sauce, everything was amazing. That’s rare these days. Just proves this place is a true gem!💎

Update: June 2: This is my all time favorite place, I said it once and I will say it again. The food is so tasty that I crave it. In addition I am just so thankful for Dayana one of the owners (along with husband). She loves her customers and is always making sure that everyone is satisfied with their food. I love what they have done to give the place a little part of the Caribbean. It’s clean and inviting. Update: March 2026; Just wrote a review of Tropical Bay at Market 42 in Brunswick. That is the place where the husband usually is. The husband and wife duo are incredible. I've grown close to the entire team, the mom, the friend Jackie who's a cook there as well. They treat you like you are going to visit a family member. The ambiance is incredible, they put in a lot of hard work and did many updates in the bar area. I’ve visited this establishment with my sister, daughter and family. They raved about the food. I visited again with my mother-in-law, tough customer and she enjoyed it.
